User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• provide accurate account information
• keep your login credentials secure
• use Anchor only for personal, non-commercial purposes unless we expressly allow otherwise
• not attempt to hack, reverse engineer, interfere with, or disrupt the service
• not upload harmful, abusive, infringing, or illegal content
• follow all applicable laws while using the app

You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account.

Subscriptions & Payments

Anchor may offer premium features through paid subscriptions.

• On iOS, subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store.
• On supported non-iOS platforms, payments may be processed through Stripe or another supported billing provider.
• Subscriptions may automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions through the platform used for purchase.

Subscription pricing, plan features, and availability may change over time. Any changes will apply in accordance with platform billing rules and applicable law.

Refunds and billing disputes are handled according to the policies of the platform used for purchase.

AI-Assisted Content

Anchor may provide AI-assisted typing sessions.

AI-assisted content:

• is generated with the help of artificial intelligence
• is provided for wellness and reflection purposes only
• may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your specific situation

AI-assisted content is not medical, psychological, legal, or professional advice.

Intellectual Property

Anchor and its licensors own all rights to:

• the app design, software, and functionality
• Anchor branding, logos, and trademarks
• built-in guided content and affirmation content supplied by Anchor

You retain ownership of content you create in Anchor, including custom phrases and reflections.

By using Anchor, you grant Anchor a limited license to store, encrypt, process, sync, and display your content only as needed to operate the service.

Privacy and Data

Your privacy is important to us.

Anchor uses secure authentication and cloud infrastructure, including Supabase, to operate key features of the app.

Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how your information is collected, used, stored, protected, and deleted, including how to delete your account in the app.

Health & Wellness Disclaimer

Anchor is a wellness and mindfulness tool.

It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical or mental health condition.

If you are experiencing emotional distress, a mental health crisis, or an emergency, contact a licensed healthcare professional, local emergency services, or an appropriate crisis helpline immediately.

Limitation of Liability

Anchor is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or specific outcomes from using the app.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Anchor and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and licensors are not liable for:

• indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• loss of data, saved content, or personal content
• service interruptions, bugs, technical failures, or security incidents
• any health, wellness, or emotional outcomes resulting from app use

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Termination

You may stop using Anchor at any time.

You may also delete your account in the app by going to Settings > Account > Manage > Delete Account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service or that misuse the service.

We may also modify, suspend, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary.

If your account is terminated or deleted:

• access to the service may end
• data handling and deletion timelines will follow our Privacy Policy
• subscription billing will continue to follow the rules of the platform used for purchase unless cancelled through that platform

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, unless applicable consumer protection law requires otherwise.

Unless otherwise required by law, disputes arising from these Terms of Service or your use of Anchor will be resolved in the courts located in Ontario, Canada.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time.

When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

Continued use of Anchor after an update means you accept the revised Terms of Service.
